Dr. Cindy Lee earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and her Ph.D. in Marriage and Family from Florida State University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 35 years of experience in social work, serving in both direct practice and administrative leadership roles. Her clinical specialties include individual, couples, and family services, with additional expertise in trauma and critical incident debriefing.

Dr. Lee developed one of the nation’s first fully online, web-conferencing–based graduate programs and has designed and taught numerous innovative online courses. Throughout her career, she has led workshops on compassion fatigue, cultural sensitivity, trauma-informed care, and online education. She has also published scholarly work in the areas of trauma-informed care and values education.
