Dr. Tim Wiseman grew up in Central Illinois and attended Illinois College, where he received a BA in business administration/accounting. After earning a JD from the University of Illinois, he decided that he had seen enough snow and ice and moved to Florida. He then earned an MBA in personal financial planning from City University in Bellevue, WA, a graduate certificate in computer information systems from Regis University and a DBA in accounting from the University of Sarasota. Dr. Wiseman is a CPA, as well as a licensed attorney in Florida. He has worked for several years as a CPA, an attorney, and a professor.
Dr. Wiseman teaches at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in the areas of accounting, finance, computer information systems, and statistics. He has presented at academic conferences on the topics of online learning and using interactive teaching methods in college classrooms, and has served on several dozen dissertation committees, often as a specialist in quantitative methodologies. Dr. Wiseman and his wife, Dr. Tricia Wiseman (who also teaches adjunct with Saint Leo), are the founders of Candlelight Christian Academy, a Kindergarten through 12th grade private school located in Lake Wales, Florida.
