Dr. Carver worked at Saint Leo University for 16 years before retiring as a full professor. She currently teaches both Master’s and Doctorate courses in literacy, leadership, and research as an adjunct.
Dr. Carver received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Wheaton College and her master’s degree in Developmental Reading K-12. She also has university concentrations in Educational Leadership and Instructional Design and her Doctorate is from Walden University. She has designed and developed course work for multiple universities.
In addition to working at Saint Leo University she has worked at numerous universities and school districts. Her experience in education began as a K-12 classroom teacher and continued as a reading specialist, literacy coach, math specialist, director, instructional designer, and a research methodologist. During her career she has chaired over 50 qualitative and quantitative dissertations and provided methodological reviews for many others.
Her research interests include at-risk students, literacy, exceptional education, teacher development and support, and technology integration.
